Long story short, CDW and Crucial can all go die in big huge fires. Finally got the 80+ stick order I've been waiting on since Monday.

What you can't see in the 2nd pic is about 30 more sticks behind that I've been memtesting. Sometime soon I'll add up just how much I touched in the last 2 days because the number is kind of sick.

I NEED RAM

This is an emergency.

I need 10-20 4 gig kits
each kit should have 2 2GB sticks
PC3200 ECC REG DIMM

Frys doesn't have these. I've tried everywhere else.

FYI CDW considers 'overnight' 3 day shipping. Because they are tools like that.

Looking for experienced DBA

Great pay and benefits
Seattle area, relocation possible
5+ years performing DBA tasks; degree not required but helpful
MySql on Debian/Ubuntu/Solaris, with areas of development and change available

You must be assertive and comfortable with your DBA skills; enough to push back and ask questions.

Know someone who might fit the bill? Drop me a message.
This place is *awesome* to work, just looking for the right person to fit in that works hard and plays hard.

My office has 3500 DVD cases (empty, blank with the little plastic sleeve on the front for your own inserts) we're trying to get rid of. They're FREE. Boxes of 100, you can have one box or all of them, I don't care.

I'll be craigslisting this soon, but if you want them, they're yours. We can ship them or you can pick em up.

Only posting this here cuz hey, someone might need this shit.

National Weather Service Zone - WAZ007

SEWNPWSEW
URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SEATTLE WA
1125 AM PST SAT FEB 4 2006

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS CANCELLED THE HIGH
WIND WARNING FOR THE OLYMPICS. WIND SPEEDS HAVE DROPPED BELOW
HIGH WIND CRITERIA...AND WILL CONTINUE TO SUBSIDE AS THE DAY
PROGRESSES. LAST NIGHT...A WIND GUST OF 78 MPH WAS RECORDED AT
HURRICANE RIDGE.

OCEAN SHORES...60 MPH
ABERDEEN....67 MPH

A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE PUGET SOUND...UNTIL
4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON.

STRONG WINDS CONTINUED ACROSS THE AREA THIS MORNING...WITH MANY
TREES AND POWER LINES DOWNED. ALTHOUGH MOST LOCATIONS HAVE NOT
EXPERIENCED WINDS ABOVE 50 MPH...THE SATURATED SOIL MADE IT EASIER
FOR TREES TO TOPPLE. IN OTHER WORDS...IT TAKES LESS WIND TO DOWN
TREES WHEN SOIL CONDITIONS ARE WET. THE RESULT IS THAT THE DAMAGE
IS SIMILAR TO WHAT OCCURS WHEN THERE IS WIDESPREAD WIND GUSTS OF
60 MPH OR GREATER.

- Avoid Denny and Broad unless you want to be involved with this protest.
- The Ballard draw bridge is currently stuck in the OPEN position and will not be fixed for over 2 hours

Just stay home right now unless you've really gotta be somewhere.

From NANOG:

"There are some locations east of the Rockies that are
experiencing issues. Sprint network control centers have multiple
bridges activated and are exploring restoration opportunities. 1,401
DS3s and 42 Sonet Rings impacted. We have 3+ fiber techs at the cut
site. It has not been confirmed if this is impacting multiple
carriers."

He followed up at 1717 Central to add, "20 of the 40 have been restored.
I was told the other 20 should be restored within an hour. I am trying
to confirm the ETR and to ensure it includes all the ds3s."

Not only is internet traffic effected, but many cellphone users can no longer recieve and accept calls on the Sprint network.

They're workin on it, but this is why shit sucks today.

You are a WEDF-- Wacky Emotional Destructive Follower. This makes you a menace to society, depending on how you channel your energies. You chew your fingers and have an addictive personality. Properly guided, you can be enormously productive--otherwise you run amok, stir up trouble, and generally have a hell of a good time.

To your friends, you are a source of relentless entertainment. You often get into trouble, but you almost always find a way out. You are strangely popular and feed off others' energy. You live hard, seize the day, and although your more sober friends would like to see you settled down, you generally have fewer regrets and better memories than they do. Your tenet is that, at the end of the day, one regrets only what one didn't try. You are right.

You could benefit from outside help in balancing your highs and lows. Or perhaps cutting back on the caffeine.

I went to Vancouver.

Our hotel room was on the 22nd floor. Here was our view:

There was a wedding party taking pictures in a courtyard across the street. I turned on my digital zoom and was able to get this shot:

I was too cold and too tired when I took the night shots, so I failed my ultimate goal. I did get a few good pics, until I go back next time:

Today was really tiring.

I got out of bed really late because my alarm clock didnt wake me up AGAIN.

I feel sad, because Sarah and Britney are complete bitches. They told everyone I have an STD, just because I slept with both of their boyfriends on Saturday night.

Last night I had to finish my term paper on the history of pre-communist Russian society. I focussed on the needs of women. I think it's ok, but if I don't pass this I'll lose my scholarship.

I'm sharpening my knives before I go to work today, because I'm going to cut out Robert's heart and feed it to him for losing my mail.

I went to the doctor yesterday, and he said I have a terrible skin disease which prevents me from coming into contact with other human beings. And bipolar disorder.

I want to say thanks to the world for absolutely fucking nothing! You all suck. I feel so alone, no one ever reads this journal, or even comments to let me know that I'm not suffering alone. It's cold here, and I want to die, but I cannot figure out how many of you to take with me when I go.

That's enough for now. But I'll leave you with this thought - sharing your life with strangers on the internet is the cheapest form of therapy available. Leave a comment and tell me I'm beautiful.
